Arrive

‘Arrive’ is a screen dance about returning to the places that hold traces of who we have been. Set in an inner city marked by what is broken or out of place, the film lingers on the fragments of self that remain inscribed in its surfaces. The dancer is visible only through mirrors, seen twice removed—through the lens of the camera and the reflection of glass. In this the film reflects on belonging as mediated, refracted, and a negotiated perspective. To arrive is not only to return to place, but also to recognize oneself reflected within it.
